SPY SPDR S&P 500 ETF – 10,000 of the July 30 calls were bought for $0.43. Also, a buyer 17,800 July 127 wkly calls for 1.40 & buyer 7,100 June 125 wkly puts for .49
EEM iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Indx (ETF) – 8500 of the July 44 puts were bought for $0.40.
XLE Energy Select Sector SPDR (ETF) – 41,000 of the July 70 puts were sold at $1.03.
VIX saw 132% the normal volume with 446K calls and 38K puts traded. 10,000 of the July 30 calls were sold at $0.50. Nothing else really stands out to me
Consumer
PHM PulteGroup, Inc. – 10,500 of the July 7 puts at $0.09.
EXPE Expedia, Inc. – 7500 of the October 27 / 31 call spread and bought the October 24 puts collecting $1.125. It is possibly a closing trade.
EK Eastman Kodak Company – 6k+ of the August 2.5 / 3 put verticals were sold for a credit of $0.14. Some desks are reporting this connected to long calls but I don't see it. Very focused on EK right now...
HD The Home Depot, Inc. – 7400 of the January 65 calls were sold at $0.65. It is possibly a closing trade.
Energy
XCO EXCO Resources Inc – 2500 of the July / September 17 put spread was bought for $0.65. Separately, 5000 of the July 17 puts were bought for $0.45 tied to 130k shares at $17.50.
HK Petrohawk Energy Corporation – 30,000 of the January 21 / 25 bullish risk reversal was bought for $0.35. The trade was tied to 2.4million shares and was to open.
Industrials / Materials
GE General Electric Company – 17,000 of the January / March 20 call spread was sold for $0.17. It is likely a roll of a position out to March.
GFI Gold Fields Limited (ADR) – 8100 of the July 17 calls were sold at $0.31. The calls appear to have been sold to open.
Tech
ALU Alcatel-Lucent (ADR) – 10,100 of the December 6 calls were bought for $0.50 in a multi exchange sweep.
BRCD Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. – 8500 of the August 6 puts were bought for $0.44. The puts were bought to open.
FTR Frontier Communications Corp – 600 of the February 8 puts were bought for $0.90. The puts were bought to open.
BIDU Baidu - the darling internet giant of China traded up over 4% after announcing the company just took a majority stake in the LARGEST travel website in China. The site is called Qunar.com, which means “where do you go” in Mandarin Chinese. It will be the largest investment Baidu has ever made. In options, the most active contract was the 7/1 wkly 135 calls which traded mostly on the offer 7,000 times in opening transactions. Also active were: July 135 calls, July 130 calls and July 140 calls.
Financials
STD Banco Santander, S.A. (ADR) – 4000 of the July 11 calls were bought for $0.40.
BAC Bank of America Corporation – 4100 of the July 11 calls were bought for $0.17.
Healthcare
HGSI Human Genome Sciences – 10,000 of the January 25 / 30 call spread was bought for $1.82.
FRX Forest Laboratories, Inc. – 3000 of the November 41 / January 32.5 call spread was sold at $5.65. It is possibly a roll from the January 32.5 in to the November 41 calls, which is an opening position.
BRKR Bruker Corporation – 1700 of the December 17.5 puts appear to have been bought for $1.40. The trade is an opening position.
