Options Flow Recap Oct 6th






Macro / Thematic

EWT – 8000 of the December 8, 9, 10 puts were all bought to open. The purchases seem to reflect expectations for higher volatility in Taiwan's equity markets through mid-December.

FXI - 7600 of the October 29 puts were sold at $0.43.

XLF – 90,400 of the October 10 / 13 risk reversal was sold at $0.06 to buy 90,400 of the November 10 / 13 bullish risk reversal for $0.17. The trade is a roll of a bullish risk reversal from October to November.

XLP – 23,000 of the November 25 / 28 put spread was bought for $0.33. The put spread was bought to open.



Consumer

AEO – 20,000 of the January 12 puts were sold at $1.20. The play looks opening and is tied to 697,000 shares of stock at $12.10.

DNKN – 365 of the November 30 calls were sold at $1.36 to buy the November 20 / 25 call spread for $0.91.

- 3,500 March 13 straddles were bought for $3.41 and sold 7,000 March 7 puts at $0.28 versus a purchase of 52,000 shares for $10.80


Energy

RES - 5000 of the March 30 calls were bought for $0.45.

SD - 4100 of the March 80 calls were bought for $0.80. The calls were bought to open.

TSO - 3000 of the May 20 / 21 call spreads were bought for $0.60. The call spread appeared bought to open.


Industrials / Materials

AA - 10,000 of the April 10 calls were bought for $1.54. Separately, 8000 of the November 11 calls were bought for $0.36. Both were bought to open.


Tech

DDD - 1000 of the February 17.5 / 22.5 call spread was bought for $1.45. The call spread was bought to open.

EBAY – 4450 of the April 35 calls were sold at $2.35. The calls were sold to open.


Financials

AGO – 15,800 of the January 22.5 calls were sold at $0.15.

JPM - 10,000 of the November 32 calls were sold at $2.23. The calls were sold to open

USB - 2500 of the January 20 / 24 1x2 put spread was bought for $0.17.

WFC – 23,000 of the October 20 puts were bought for $0.23.


Healthcare

AFFY – 3750 of the October 5 calls were sold at $0.20 along with a sale of 3000 November 5 puts at $0.65.

CBST – 2400 of the November 38 calls were sold at $1.25. The calls were sold to open.
